The Census is coming: 21 March

The Census is coming: 21 March

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) runs the census - the next one will happen on Sunday 21 March 2021. The census happens every 10 years and provides a picture of all the people and households in England. No other survey gives as much detail about us and the society we live in. All kinds of organisations, from charities, housing associations and local authorities, use the information to help provide the services we need, including transport, education, and healthcare. We are asking for all Resident Associations to urge their members to complete the census before the deadline of 4 May 2021.

Census timings:

● The census only takes 10 minutes to complete online via www.census.gov.uk

  • ●  Every household should have received their unique access code by mid-March – your census pack includes a letter explaining about the census, the questionnaire, paid return envelope, information on how to request a paper questionnaire and privacy statement. Not received your census letter or access code? Contact the ONS to request yours.

  • ●  You can fill yours in online as soon as you get your access code in the post. If your household circumstances change on Census Day, let the ONS know.

  • ●  Non-responding households receive up to three reminders after the 21 March.

  • ●  Your information is confidential and protected by law.
